Eine aus Japan stammende Pflanze die immer begehrter als Schnittblume wird. Mit ihren vielen kugelartigen Blumen in einem sanften rosa und rosa rot blüht sie Ende Sommer bis Herbst. Die Plfanze ist sehr pflegeleicht und hat nur wenige Blätter, die weniger dornig als andere Sorten sind.

Sow 1.5mm (1/16 in) deep from February to June in good seed compost and seal inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 21-40 days at 15-20C (60-70F).

Transplant when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Later plant out 60-90cm (24-30in) apart in ordinary garden soil and full sun.

The earliest sowings will flower the same year, later sowings will flower the following year.
