Gepflegte Pflanze mit einer runden und prachtvollen Wuchsform, in den verschiedensten Farbkombinationen. Eine sparsame Art um frühe Frühlingstopfpflanzen zu produzieren, weil sie nicht viel braucht, ausser den Ausschluss von Frost. Wintertemperaturen sollten nicht 13 C (55F) übersteigen, können aber bis zu 7 C (45F) sinken. Blüht ab Frühling. Höhe 20 cm (8in)

Sow from spring to late summer at 20-25C (68-77F) in a good seed compost. Sow seed on surface of compost and keep soil damp but not wet. Do not exclude light, sealing in a polythene bag after sowing is helpful. Germination usually takes 14-21 days.

When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into 7.5cm (3in) pots and grow in an open coldframe for the summer and shade from strong sun. Move to a cool greenhouse in autumn.

Always water with care to prevent water settling on the crown of the plant. Spring sown plants flower in winter and summer sown plants in spring/summer.
