Mehrere Hundert Blütenstiele in einer spektakulären Farbkombination. Jede der 2,5 cm großen Einzelblüten beginnt mit einem kräftigen Blutrot, daß sich in Orange und später in Gelb und schließlich in Weiß verwandelt, dieser Farbwechsel tritt ständig und gleichzeitig auf.

Soak overnight in cold water or file a tiny notch in the seed coat before sowing. Sow seed individually in pots in early spring at 21-24C (70-75F) 6mm (¼in) deep in a good seed compost, sealing in a polythene bag after sowing is helpful. Germination usually takes 10-16 days.

Grow on in cooler conditions, and transplant into 13cm (5in) pots. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, once the weather has warmed up. Plant 30cm (12in) apart in a sunny sheltered and warm site in rich, moist soil and provide them with something to climb.
