Diese attractive, buschige, kompakte Pflanze ist ein hervorragender Bodenfüller. Aufwärts stehenden Stiele und hellgelben Blüten die mit einem rotbraunem Auge bedruckt sind. Blühen den ganzen Sommer lang. Ideal für Rabatten oder als Schnittblume.

Sow from February to June indoors in good seed compost just covering the seed with compost. Seal in a polythene bag until germination which takes 14-25 days at 18-20C (65-70F).

When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into boxes or 7.5cm (3in) pots and grow in cooler conditions. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 30-45cm (12-18in) apart in well drained soil and full sun.

In very cold winter areas provide mulch around the plant for extra frost protection. Early sowings will flower the same season. Remove seed heads regularly to prolong flowering.
