Bergenia cordifolia New Winter Flowering Hybrids

A strain of 'elephant ears' with large, upward-facing flower umbels that emerged from mid-Europe in the 1940's. The bright coloured flowers available in rose, pink and red shades, with the occasional surprise of lilac, purple and white, contrast delightfully with the glossy dark green foliage. Flowers and leaves are useful to flower arrangers from mid-winter to early spring. Height 30-45cm (12-18in).

Cobaea scandens alba

A spectacular climbing plant for the summer garden or the conservatory. This very choice creamy white form of Cathedral Bells or The Cup and Saucer Plant comes from Mexico and quickly grows to cover unsightly areas or a wall outdoors, where it can be treated as a summer annual. Dianthus caryophyllus Fenbow Nutmeg Clove

An old fashioned garden carnation with a unique and exquisite perfume. Flowers were used in the 17th century to add nutmeg-clove flavouring to red wine. The semi-double flowers of crimson-maroon are produced on neat and tidy plants, ideal for borders, containers and making a wonderful cut flower.
