Quick maturing, cylindrical, tender sweet orange roots.
Sow March to July, thinly, 1cm (½ inch) deep in drills 23-30cm (9-12 inches) apart in well-drained, fertile soil, which has been raked to a fine tilth. Keep moist until germination.
Harvest from late summer into autumn. Water soil well before harvesting to aid extraction. The roots can be lifted and stored in layers of peat or sand in a frost-free place for winter use.
