Description
A very lovely, choice order plant and entirely "at home" in the cottage garden. Plants are quick to establish and produce many branched stems with dense spikes of rosy-pink, 1in.long flowers during mid to late summer. Flowers in its first year but really does become stunning from the second year onwards, and being an Agastache, it possesses wonderful aromatic foliage. Loved by bees and butterflies
Sowing Instructions
Sow February to July. Sow in trays, pots, etc of good seed compost in a propagator or warm place to maintain an optimum temperature of 60-65F (15-18C). Sow in well drained compost, just covering the seed. Germination usually takes 14 to 25 days.
Growing Instructions
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle. Harden off and plant out when all risk of frost has passed. Space the plants 30cm (12in) apart in full sun.
Aftercare Instructions
Prefers a rich, light, well drained soil. May need a little winter protection in the form of a mulch of leaves or compost in very cold areas. |
