Description
A good front of border plant from Eastern Asia, erect single stems bearing many 1in blue to purple-blue flowers.
Sowing Instructions
Sow February to July. Sow in trays, pots, etc of good seed compost in a propagator or warm place to maintain an optimum temperature of 20-25C (70-75F). Sowing depth - 1.5mm (1/16in). Germination usually takes 21-60 days.
Growing Instructions
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Once established pinch out the growing point to encourage branching.
Aftercare Instructions
Grow on in a cold frame and plant out in autumn or the following spring 45cm (18in) apart in full sun. Prefers a well drained soil and sun or part shade. |
