An early maturity sister line to Sugarsnax producing slightly tapered, 13-15cm (5-6in) blunt ended, smooth, rich orange roots. Outstanding juicy and tender sweet flavour. Delicious eaten raw in salads, used for juicing or as a cooked vegetable.
High in Beta-carotene and Vitamin A and rich in antioxidants.
Sow at 4 week intervals. Sow thinly, 1cm (½in) deep in drills 30cm (12in) apart. Thin seedlings to 5cm (2in) apart when large enough to handle, to reduce risk of carrot root fly attack.
Later sowings can be lifted and stored.
Carrots make a healthy, nutritious addition to your daily diet. They are high in Vitamin A and beta-carotene, and rich in antioxidants.
Chunks of the sweet flesh are delicious in salads or used as dippers with cream cheese.
