Sowing Instructions
Sow on the surface of the compost from late winter to early summer in John Innes Seed Compost. Make sure that the compost is moist but not wet and seal in a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 10-30 days at 16-21C (60-70F). Do not exclude light which is beneficial to germination. Some types will germinate faster than others.
Growing Instructions
Transplant when large enough to handle into boxes or 3cm (3in) pots. Later plant out 30cm (12in) apart into ordinary garden soil in sun or slight shade. They tan also be sown outdoors very thinly in spring where they are to flower in well raked weed free soil. GERMINATION SKILL GUIDE: Some experience useful. |
