Specially bred for its unique upward facing, clematis flowers on dwarf, bushy free-flowering plants in six spectacular colours. Stunning planted in drifts of 5-7 plants towards the front of borders or in large containers. Height: 30-40cm (12-16 inches).
Sow February to June or September to October. Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays. Do not cover the seed. Seal container inside a polythene bag and keep at a temperature of between 15-20ºC (59-68ºF). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination can take 1-3 months.
For best results, provide any ordinary, well-drained soil in full sun.
