Description
The toast of new Pansy breeding. A totally unique Pansy; gorgeous ruffled faces with distinctive and unusual striped, and veined marked faces. Ideal for adding interest to spring and summer borders or containers. Hardy Perennial (often used as a Half Hardy Annual). Flowers summer, or autumn/spring if sown June-September.
Sowing Instructions
Sow February to March or June to September. Sow seeds on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost, then apply a fine sprinkling of vermiculite, just covering the seed. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag and place at a warm temperature of 15-20C (60-68F) until after germination which usually takes 10-15 days. Take care not to provide too high a temperature, as this can prevent germination.
Growing Instructions
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out 15cm (6in) apart. September sown plants should be overwintered in a coldframe, and planted out the following spring.
Aftercare Instructions
Prefers a moist, well drained soil in full sun or semi shade. |
