Sow May to end June for maincrop production, thinly, 12mm (½ inch) deep in well prepared soil, in rows 30cm (12 inches) apart. Thin out seedlings if necessary, to 2.5cm (1 inch) apart.
Prefers well-drained, moist, rich soil. Harvest August to November. Roots can be lifted to store overwinter.
