New & Exclusive 2008 Attractive, tall, feathery spikes of cream and biscuit shades will gently ruffle in the slightest breeze. Quick and easy to grow, adding height and interest to summer displays right through to the autumn, or used as an intriguing cut flower. Height 90-120cm (36-48 inches)
Sowing Instructions
Sow February to March onto the surface of a good, free-draining, damp, seed compost and lightly cover the seed with fine grade vermiculite. Place the seed container in a warm place at a daytime temperature of20-25C (68-77F) and allow this to be reduced slightly overnight to aid germination. Germination usually takes 3-15 days. Do not exclude light at any stage as this helps germination.
Growing Instructions
Transplant seedlings, when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3 inch) pots. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12 inches) apart. |
