Description
New 2008 The best-trailing geranium from seed, equal in quality to those available as expensive cutting raised types. Attractive single flowers in a delightful five colour mixture, blooming all summer until the first frosts in baskets or containers.Cascading 30-40cm (12-16in)
Sowing Instructions
Sow mid January to mid March. Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays, and cover with a very fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or warm place, and keep at a constant temperature of between 20-25C (68-77F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination will usually take 3-21 days.
Growing Instructions
When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost into hanging baskets or containers spaced 10-15cm (4-6in) apart.
Aftercare Instructions
For best results, provide a light, well-drained soil in full sun. |
