A totally unique sunflower! Tall straight stems are early flowering, producing unusual and attractive golden yellow blooms with amazing lime green centres. Each bloom is pollen free and 10-15cm (4-6in) in diameter, making spectacular cut flowers.

Also adds height and interest to your borders.

Height 1.2-1.5m (4-5ft)

Sow seed thinly, 12mm (½in) deep in drills 45cm (18in) apart in well cultivated soil raked to a fine tilth. Germination takes around 21 days.

For earlier flowering: Sow indoors, individually in 7.5cm (3in) pots at 20-25C (68-77F). When well grown, gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions before planting out after all risk of frost.

When large enough to handle, thin to 45cm (18in) apart.

Prefers a well-drained soil in full sun.
