New breeding in spinach to provide stunning red stems and leaf veins contrasting against a darker green leaf. A sweeter flavour and the colour contrast provides a superb 'salad leaf ingredient', as 'baby spinach' or as a steamed vegetable.
Sow March to mid June and August to September outdoors. Sow thinly outdoors, 13mm (½in) deep in broad drills 30cm (12in) apart in soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. Can also be sown in pots or containers on the patio for use as 'baby salad leaves'. Earlier and later sowings can extend the season under cloches.

Sweeter tasting leaves than conventional green spinach so just toss into a mixed salad.
