Description
An exquisite variety with masses of creamy-white fluted flowers above fine, blue-green foliage. Very hardy and easy to grow, making excellent, if short lived, cut flowers. Height: 20-25cm (8-10in).
Sowing Instructions
Sow from February to March 1.5mm (1/16in) deep in a good seed compost. Germination takes 5-10 days at 18-20C (65-70F). They can also be sown outdoors from March to May where they are to flower, when the ground becomes workable, covering the seed to a depth of 3mm (1/8in). Thin out the seedlings 30cm (12in) apart. An autumn sowing can also be made out of doors in September for overwintering, when they will flower in late spring /early summer.
Growing Instructions
When large enough to handle transplant the seedlings to boxes or 7.5cm (3in) pots, and grow on in cooler conditions. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions and plant out in late spring after all risk of frost has passed 30cm (12in) apart in full sun and well drained soil. |
