Description
An exquisite variety with rich, creamy yellow fluted petals tipped with the most intense coral orange edging. From the tightly scrolled buds to the fully open flower this variety is irresistible. A brilliant bicolour at home in any border. Very hardy, easy to grow and free flowering, they make excellent, if short lived, cut flowers. Flowers summer. Height: 20-25cm (8-10in).
Sowing Instructions
Best sown where they are to flower in spring or late summer/early autumn for overwintering. Sow 3mm (1/8in) deep in rows 30cm (12in) apart in well cultivated soil which has been raked to a fine tilth.
Growing Instructions
Thin out the seedlings to 15cm (6in) apart. They are very hardy and will grow in the poorest soils preferring full sun.
Aftercare Instructions
For spring/summer flowering pot plants in a cool greenhouse or conservatory sow in late summer/early autumn. Grow cool in full light and water sparingly. For cutting, pick when the blooms are still tightly curled. |
