Long-stemmed plants with large flowers of rich yellow, gold, bronze and mahogany with black cone. An excellent subject for beds and borders, it will tolerate wet weather. Flowers late summer/autumn. Height only 60cm (24in).

Sow in greenhouse or propagator in early spring, very shallowly in moist seed compost at 21-24C (70-75F).

Prick out when large enough to handle and grow on at 15C (60F). Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost 30cm (12in) apart in a sunny spot and well drained soil.
