Description
Liven up your borders this summer with this dramatic duo. The delicately fragrant, pin-cushion heads appear in jet-black and ice-white, making the perfect partnership. Ideal for cottage garden borders and extremely easy to grow. Prefers a light, well-drained soil in full sun.
Sowing Instructions
Sow April to May outdoors where the plants are to flower. Prepare the ground well and rake to a fine tilth before sowing. Sow seed 3mm (1/8 inch) deep, in rows 30cm (12 inches) apart. Alternatively, sow seed in 7.5cm (3in) pots and place at 18-20C (64-68F) until after germination. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle and plant out after risk of frost, 23cm (9 inches) apart.
Growing Instructions
When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 23cm (9 inches) apart. |
