Description

An exclusive mixture of wonderfully fragrant, spicy-clove garden stocks. Plants are dwarf, with a branching habit and produce short compact flower spikes in five classically Tudor colours: appleblossom, pink, purple, red and silvery-blue. Plants are selectable for 100% doubleness. See sowing instructions for details. Fantastic in patio containers or exposed sites where their perfume pervades the air.

Sowing Instructions

Germinate from February to April at 15C (60F) on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost, but do not exclude light, which is beneficial to germination. Apply a layer of vermiculite, 6mm (¼in) deep. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 10-21 days.

PLEASE NOTE: Plants can be selected for doubleness. After germination, reduce the temperature and the seedlings will change colour. Only the yellow-green/palest seedlings will produce double flowers, simply discard others and you will result in 100% double seedlings.
