Description
This has to be the best Verbena...ever! Unlike other straggly Verbenas, the Sandy Series features upright, neat, compact habit, unlike its straggly cousins, in an attractive blend of five, free flowering rich colours. Long lasting performance for bedding and containers. Height: 25-30cm (10-12in).
Sowing Instructions
Germinate February to April at 24-27C (75-80F) on the surface of a good free draining damp seed compost. Apply a very fine sprinkling of dry vermiculite. Place in a propagator or seal container in a polythene bag until after germination which takes 14-21 days. Do not exclude light, as this helps germination. Keep compost on the dry side at all times, and water lightly as seedlings emerge.
Growing Instructions
Transplant, when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Grow on in cool, well lit conditions. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12in) apart. |
