Description
A truly outstanding annual*. Bushy, free flowering plants smothered in masses of attractive, double, bicoloured blooms of fiery red and orange. This superb All America Selections Winner, is at home in borders or bedding displays. *Sow in Jan-Feb for flowering late July onwards.
Sowing Instructions
Sow March to April on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays. Do not cover the seed. Place in a propagator or warm place, and keep at a constant temperature of between 20-25C (68-77F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination will usually take 14-21 days.
Growing Instructions
When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise young plants to outdoor conditions for 10-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12in) apart.
Aftercare Instructions
For best results, provide a well-drained soil in full sun or part shade. |
