A completely new concept in hardy perennials. Easy to grow, flowering in just 4 months from sowing and producing lots of flowers from spring to first frosts. The colour range is too wide to describe but includes cream, butter, lemon, all imaginable shades of salmon, orange, red, plus mustard, ochre, bronze, grey and beige, in fact, almost the complete spectrum of pastels. Suitable for border, pots, containers and even windowboxes, or as a flowering pot plant. Flowers can be used fresh or dried. Flowers spring to summer. Height: 60cm (2ft).

Sow on the surface of a good seed compost from late winter to spring, making sure it is moist but not wet. Seal in a polythene bag until after germination, which usually takes 14-21 days at 18C (70F). Do not exclude light which is beneficial.

Transplant when large enough to handle into 8cm (3in) pots. Later plant out 60cm (24in) apart into any well drained soil in full sun.
