An impressive discovery from Korea. Vigorous, easy and full of flower. Attractive glossy foliage along which nod luscious creamy bells, faintly speckled purple/pink on the outside and spotted maroon within Ideal tor quickly filling the border. Height: 45-60cm (18-24in)
Sowing Instructions
Sow from February to July on the surface of a good seed compost. Germination can take 14-28 days at 15-18C (60- 65F). Don't exclude light. Keep the compost moist but not saturated, sealing in a polythene bag after sowing is helpful.
Growing Instructions
Lower the temperature after germination to around 13-18C (55-60F) and when large enough to handle, transplant the seedlings carefully, into 3in (7.5cm) pots. When well grown gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions and plant out in full sun, 45cm (18in) apart in poor thin soils and up to 1m (36in) apart in rich soils.
Aftercare Instructions
Water after planting and until fully established, an occasional good soaking in very hot weather is helpful. They spread by runners and these can be lifted and replanted in the autumn if required. |
