Description
Spectacular poolside plant, huge umbrella size leaves and bronzy-pink, conical flowers.
Sowing Instructions
Sow in trays, pots, etc of good seed compost in a propagator or warm place to maintain an optimum temperature of 75-80F (25-27C). Sowing Depth: 1/16 inch (1.5mm). Sowing Time: February to July. Slow to germinate. Keep the seed compost very moist, but never saturated, at all times and the temperature high.
Growing Instructions
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Grow on in a cold frame and plant out the following spring. Space the plants 90cm (3ft) apart. Plant out in moist, loamy soil and part shade. |
