Description
Showy dwarf evergreen shrubs which spread quickly over rocks and slopes and make ideal ground cover. The attractive foliage is smothered from late spring with masses of 2.5cm (1 inch) flowers resembling wild roses in pink, lemon, copper, red, purple and white. They love the sun and stand hot, dry conditions very well. Height: 9-12 inches.
Sowing Instructions
Sow from late winter to early summer on the surface of John Innes Seed Compost. Make sure the compost is moist but not wet and seal in a polythene bag untill afetr germination which usually takes 15-20 days at 21-24ºC (70-75ºF).
Growing Instructions
Transplant, when large enough to handle, into 8cm (3 inch) pots, grow on in a coldframe and later plant out 30-40cm (12-18 inches) apart into well drained soil in a sunny position. |
