Description
Sweetly fragrant scarlet flowers on dwarf sturdy plants. Just right for containers and beds, where space is limited or to underplant tall bulbs. Flowers spring. Height: 35-45cm (15-18in).
Sowing Instructions
Sow outdoors in May to June in a moist, well forked and raked seed bed. Sow the seeds very thinly, 1.5mm (1/16in) deep in drills 30cm (12in) apart. Keep the seed bed damp until germination takes place.
Growing Instructions
Transplant the seedlings when large enough to handle 23x23cm (9x9in) apart. Pinch out growing point when 13-15cm (5-6in) tall to make them bushy. Plant in flower border in autumn at 30cm (12in) apart.
Aftercare Instructions
They will grow in most soils in sun or part shade. |
