Description

The name chamomile is derived from the Greek word for 'earth apple', so called from the apple-like smell of the blossoms. The chamomiles are considered insect repellents. In the Middle Ages the ancient monks used chamomile to treat a whole range of ailments. Contemporary herbalists recommend chamomile externally for wound healing and inflammation. Applications: insomnia, anxiety, stress, tension, irritable bowel syndrome, insect bites, strained eyes, hay fever, bronchitis, mouth inflammations and menstrual cramps. A tea made from the flowers can be soothing for both the nerves and digestion and an infusion made from the flowers can be good for a mouthwash. Drop flowers into hot water and inhale for hay fever and bronchitis Bath: for a relaxing bath, tie a handful of chamomile flowers in a cloth and run your bathwater over it. A warm chamomile bath is soothing and restful. Chamomile can also be used to brighten blonde hair.

Each SeedPotT Greetings Card has a transparent resealable pot which keeps your seeds in the best possible condition. They contain seeds which transform into the flower on the front of the card. Follow the sowing instructions carefully and watch them grow over time into a unique and colourful expression of natural beauty.
