|
Sundry
Half Hardy Annual
Flowers:
Summer
Description
Once a common weed of cornfields but brutally banished by chemicals and changes in crop growing cycles, the corn marigold's bright yellow daisy-like flowers and blue-green stalks and leaves are a colourful addition to the garden and wildlife menu. As with other cornfield annuals this perky flower will grow best in disturbed soil in a sunny area. Sow in spring in cultivated ground with other cornfield annuals or use to fill in gaps in the border. It will also grow happily in a container. Flowering from June to August it will attract a host of small bees and bumblebees. Each SeedPotT Greetings Card has a transparent resealable pot which keeps your seeds in the best possible condition. They contain seeds which transform into the flower on the front of the card. Follow the sowing instructions carefully and watch them grow over time into a unique and colourful expression of natural beauty. |
