This is a fun variety of popcorn, with tiny red, jewel-like kernels on strawberry-shaped ears. Instructions: Plant the seed outdoors, after all danger of frost has passed and the soil has thoroughly warmed. Sow 2.5cm deep, 15-23cm apart in a block. Water well. Germination takes 5-10 days at 20-24°C. Harvest when the entire plant has become brown and dry, or when the husk starts to turn brown. Move the plant to a dry, well-ventilated area so it can continue drying. Remove the corn from the cob by twisting your hands in opposite directions along the cob, over a bowl. To pop, simply put the corn inside a paper bag and then place in the microwave for about 4-5 minutes on a high setting, then watch it explode into fluffy white popcorn.
