Cylindrical, pale red roots with small white tips make a most attractive hunching radish. Excellent for both early sowings under glass as well as for maincrop outdoor sowings. Crunchy delight for salads.
Sow February to March under glass. Sow April to September outdoors. Sow in well prepared, fertile soil 1cm (½in) deep, thinly in broad drills. Allow about 30cm (12in) between drills.
Prefers well drained, moist, rich soil conditions.
Radishes are rich in Vitamin C and potassium and contain sulphur compounds.
