Whilst inspecting our trials we discovered this highly frost tolerant variety, which withstood all types of weather. The large, dark blue-green savoy leaves will not discolour by frost. Because of its long standing ability, you will be able to enjoy the delicious sweet savoy flavour for many weeks.
Sow late winter to mid summer in a specially prepared seed bed or coldframe (for later winter) or for most reliable germination in seed boxes in heat 19-21C (65-70F). Sow very thinly 1cm (½in) deep in 15cm (6in) wide rows.
The soil should be well drained, with some humus, and firm, not recently dug.
Eaten raw or cooked, cabbages are an excellent source of Vitamin C. Try to use all healthy outer leaves, as the darkest green leaves contain the most nutrients.
