Bushy, lax habit plants, quickly get established and will soon become clothed in a mass of very attractive, candy-pink, cup-shaped flowers.
Spectacular in cottage garden borders over a long flowering period.
Height: 120cm (4ft).
Sowing time: September to May.
Sow seeds on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays and cover with a sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place container in a propagator or seal inside a polythene bag and keep at a temperature of between 15-20ºC (59-68ºF). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination usually takes 7-21 days.
For best results, provide a well-drained soil in full sun.
Overwinter September sowings in a cold frame and plant out the following spring.
