These unique mini carnation-like blooms change colour as they mature. Flowers open white, then light pink and mature to a dark pink, so as if by magic three colours appear on bushy plants.
Adds interest and a light fragrance to your borders.
Height: 40-50cm (16-20in).
Sowing time: February to April.
Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Keep at a temperature of between 18-20C (64-68F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination usually takes 14-30 days. When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots or trays.
For best results, provide any ordinary, well-drained soil in full sun.
