Early, free-flowering, vigorous, dwarf mounds of foliage quickly become clothed in attractive purple or white cup shaped blooms. Creates a colourful edging or ground cover in borders or rockeries all summer.
Height: 20cm (8in)
Sowing time: .February to April
Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Keep at a temperature of between 21-25C (70-75F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination usually takes 14-30 days.
Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 30cm (12in) apart. For best results, provide any ordinary, well-drained soil in full sun.
