A real 'Tom Thumb' for container growing on the patio or windowsill, as well as for sowing under cloches in the garden for an extra early crop. Being dwarf, only 30-37cm (12-15in) high and bushy means they need no support. Fun to grow in containers as an attractive and edible centerpiece on the dining table.
Sow March to June. Sow thinly, 5cm (2in) deep in drills 45cm (18in) apart in rich, well-drained soil, which has been raked to a fine tilth. Alternatively sow this very dwarf variety into containers.
Water when in flower will improve the cropping. Peas are ready to pick around 14 weeks from sowing date, regular picking will prolong cropping period.
