Wrinkle (Early Maincrop). Another from the British breeding stable. Attractive, very dark green leaves highlight the paler pods, held out at an angle for easy picking. Mostly double-podded but some treble-podded per node containing tasty dark green peas. Has a high resistance to downy mildew.
Sow from March to June every 10 days for succession in fiat bottomed drills 5cm (2in) deep, 15cm (6in) wide spacing the seeds roughly 5cm (2in) apart. Allow 80cm (30in) between rows.
Regular picking will improve cropping.
