An amazing formation, from new breeding. The Mini Pansy is dwarf, compact and with 'miniature colourful flowers, in magic blue-mauve, with the lower petals striking bronze giving a look of shimmering beauty. A talking point for patio containers.
Sow February to March or September to October. Germinate at 15-20C (60-68P) on the surface of a free draining, damp seed compost. Apply a fine sprinkling of vermiculite, just covering the seed. Place in a propagator or seal container in a polythene bag until after germination which takes 10-21 days. Take care not to provide too high a temperature, as this can prevent germination.
Overwinter September sowings in a coldframe then plant out the following spring.
