Description

Following the success of Magpie, flower breeders have carefully selected this unusual double flowered strain. Extremely double, very attractive pleated and quilted blooms, in purple and white, with some flowers almost black. Offers a striking contrast to beds, borders or cottage gardens. An occasional single flower may appear.

Sowing Instructions

Sowing Time: February to June or September to October. Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays. Cover seed with a light sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Keep at a temperature of between 15-20C (59-68F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination can take 1-3 months.

Caution

Harmful if eaten
