The exquisite slate-pink, 10cm (4in) flowers have a deep red zone towards the centre with a bright yellow eye. They flower over a long period and may be used as bright, cut flowers for the house. Sow 3mm (1/8in) deep in spring at 21-24C (70-75F) in a good seed compost. Germination takes 5-10 days. Seed can also be sown outdoors in mid spring where it is to flower once the soil has warmed up.
