An impressive variety which produces large domed heads, with a consistent weight of 340g (12oz) with medium heads during the late summer-autumn period. Numerous secondary side shoots are produced once the centre head is harvested. Also has an outstanding tolerance to heat. Ideal for freezing.
Sow mid May to June. Sow thinly in a prepared seedbed 1-2cm (½ to ¾in) deep. Keep well watered and cover with fine netting to deter birds and cabbage caterpillar attack.
Prefers a rich, moist, well drained soil. Long cropping period. Harvest August to October.
