Ken Bunton, client chez Thompson et Morgan, a re-sélectionné, au fur et à mesure des années, cet oignon pour sa forme, sa base large et la qualité de sa peau. Cet oignon a été récompensé pour son poids de 2,27kg, et aussi grâce à une délicieuse saveur douce.

Sow December to March. Will grow in any fertile, well-drained soil.For exhibition sized bulbs sow seed 1cm (½ inch) deep in pots of compost and place at minimum 20C (68F). For smaller bulbs, seed can be sown outdoors in March.

Prick out seedlings when large enough to handle and pot up into 7.5cm (3 inch) pots. Grow steadily and transplant to a well prepared onion bed from late April.

Keep well fed and watered throughout the growing season.
