Attractive domes of fine foliage burst into colour with five-petalled evening-scented flowers. Superb in baskets, containers and Flower PouchesT.

Sow before the end of January for flowers from July onwards.

Pour une floraison précoce à partir de début juin, semer en sept.-oct. et faire passer l'hiver sous protection. Pour une floraison à partir de mi à fin juillet, semer en jan.-fév. Semis à la surface d'un godet de 10cm contenant un bon terreau bien drainé pour semis. Couvrir avec une mince couche de vermiculite. Enfermer dans un plastique transparent et maintenir éclairé. Germe en 10-29j à 18-20'C. Repiquer en godets de 7,5cm, dès que les plants sont manipulabtes, et cultiver en situation fraîche. Maintenir en situation éclairée et ventilée les semis de sept.-oct. à 10-13'C durant tout l'hiver. Arroser en faisant attention à ne pas créer un sol trempé qui soit froid. Acclimater progressivement aux conditions extérieures. Planter à l'extérieur, tout risque de gel écarté, à 30cm d'écart dans un emplacement abrité, dans sol léger et bien drainé en plein soleil. Pour des jardinières, paniers suspendus, potées etc. laisser 15cm entre les plants. Supprimer les fleurs fanées régulièrement pour prolonger la période de floraison. En fin automne on pourra conserver les plants pendant l'hiver en serre froide ou en véranda.

Transplant when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots and grow cool and well lit. Keep September/October sowings at 10-13C (50-55F) through the winter in good light and well ventilated. Water carefully so they don't sit in cold wet soil. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions and plant out late spring after all risk of frost has passed 30cm (12in) apart in a sheltered spot in light, well drained soil and full sun. For window boxes, baskets, containers, etc, allow 15cm (6in) between plants.

Remove spent flowers regularly to prolong the flowering season. Plants will over winter in a frost free greenhouse, conservatory etc if lifted in the autumn.
